What kind of writer should you be?

You Should Be a Joke Writer

You're totally hilarious, and you can find the humour in any situation.

Whether you're spouting off zingers, comebacks, or jokes about life...

You usually can keep a crowd laughing, and you have plenty of material.

You have the makings of a great comedian - or comedic writer.

How annoying would I be if I was really like this?? I'm clearly going wrong somewhere!

OOoh interesting I got:

You don't just create compelling stories, you see them as clearly as a movie in your mind.
You have a knack for details and dialogue. You can really make a character come to life.
Chances are, you enjoy creating all types of stories. The joy is in the storytelling.
And nothing would please you more than millions of people seeing your story on the big screen!

Which is really interesting because I totally see my novel in terms of how it would be filmed. Hmmm, maybe I should ditch novel writing for screen writing?!!

How interesting that we've all come up as different types.

I should be a songwriter, apparently. Now there's a thought. Could I borrow your guitar, Karen?

Er, Karen, this fits you rather well, you know!
Not annoying, and not going wrong at all; there's no greater skill than in being able to make people laugh!

(Cal, I got film writing too - in fact, exactly the same response as yours - and I too see my novel. Fascinating!)

I am SO going to steal this meme.

Thanks for dropping by, Karen. I just read your profile and saw you're from Yorkshire. One of my favourite writers is from there. You can guess who he is, right? The vet guy. I doubt Yorkshire is the same now, though.

Prosperous future eh?:-)

cal - maybe you can combine the two!

tommo - you've been outed...

helenmh - a poet and you didn't know it?

maddie - borrow my guitar by all means - you can't be any worse on it than I am!

leigh - I hadn't thought of it like that! I don't go around cracking jokes all the time though. In fact I can be a grumpy cow.

wordtryst - feel free! I'll pop over and see the results.

Surprisingly, James Herriot country doesn't seem to have changed that much at all :o)

lane - stick with the novel :o)

lane - that sounds like I don't think you're much of a poet, which totally isn't true!! I'll just go and take my foot out of my mouth...

Apparently I should be a Sci-Fi writer... which comes as a relief.

I somehow doubt it has a "For the love of God please never write again!" result though.

And speaking of being grumpy, I read an article recently which stated that Brits enjoy being grumpy. Which I think is very true...

Cheers,
Mike

Mike - Brits are especially good at being grumpy...maybe it's something in the water?

It would have been slightly odd if you'd turned out to be a 'romance writer!'
