Library eye-candy

The library I work in is due a much needed face-lift (aren't we all), which should be happening sometime in the next, ooooh....ten years, but it's going to need more than a splash of Magnolia to compete with these world-wide beauties, spotted here.

Canada

Australia

Boston

Dublin

New York

Paris

Maryland, USA

Manchester

Prague

That picture at the bottom is a dead-ringer for our living room. Not. Imagine the cleaning though...

Very interesting post! I think the Canadian and Prague library pictures are my favourites. A particularly attractive angle for the Dublin one, not sure if it always looks that nice from elsewhere...they are converting The Ambassador here into a new library, which used to be a theatre and then a venue. Can't wait, it's a two minute walk from my flat!

Sounds lovely. Sadly, our branch was built in the sixties and looks like a glorified bus shelter!

What magnificent libraries. Ours here is very unexciting and sounds a bit like the one where you work.

What wonderful pictures! I would get lost in some of those places.

Thank you for dropping in on my blog.

Best wishes
Annie

Ooooh, is it nerdy to love libraries this much? If so, I'm a nerd!

What beauties and not a dirty nappy or an inebriate in sight.

Ours is having a revamp at the moment. It will be nice but I shall miss the shabbiness in a way.

Mrs C

I love the Prague one, those ceiling are soooo beautiful.

In my next life, I'm going to have a library like the one Professor Henry Higgins his in "My Fair Lady" TommoX
