A little interview

I've being interviewed over on the lovely Maria's blog today, if you fancy a peek.

In the meantime I'm still recovering from a dramatic over-consumption of mince pies, chocolates and Christmas cake, and trying to work off the calories by writing like mad to finish novel 3 - only a chapter or so to go.

Then I'm determined to write and submit a story each week, which I did for most of last year and thoroughly enjoyed.

Hope you've all had a peaceful start to the New Year, and are mostly filled with resolve rather than pastry.

I read the 'comment' on the other blog and it looks like someone just showing their own ignorance to me.

(Oh dear. That wasn't very nice, so maybe I shouldnt have said it. Never mind!)

As for the pastry vs resolve argument, I should make no comment on the grounds I may incriminate myself. However, the resolve is trying hard to poke its head above the pastry parapet and I did write a very short flash today, so maybe there is hope!

It's a lovely interview, Karen.

And I agree with what Bernadette said :-)

We still have some mince pies left and it is my duty to eat them to clear some space ;-) x

We still have a cupboard and fridge full of Christmas rubbish (but yummy rubbish) to work through. Going into the kitchen is a dangerous activity.

There's still half a tin of Quality Street sitting on the coffee table if anyone fancies one. As regards the "comment" I haven't read it yet but I'm sure Bernadette is right.

I'm going to have to go over and see what they've said now, aren't I?

I agree with Bernadette.

Karen, I thoroughly enjoyed having you on my blog today and I'm so sorry you had to go through this. But don't dwell on the negatives - lots of commenters said lovely things about the book. That's the thing to think about....

Agree with Bernadette. And I thought your reply was perfect.

Loved the interview.

It was interesting to read that interview, thank you!
What I find a bit distracting was the frequent change of font style (sometimes even size), and I am not sure that was always deliberate?

As for the comment made by the anonymous person, it did not strike me as rude, just a question, which you answered very politely and correctly.

Mmm - I could go a bit of that chocolate cake right now, even though I had resolved to get back to good eating habits! Will go and have a look at your interview.

Happy New Year, Karen! A story a week - I'm impressed - you go girl! x

Thanks everyone for your support, and I'm glad I'm not the only one weighed down by sugary temptation!

There was a ruder comment underneath, Librarian, but Maria kindly removed it. I'm not sure what happened with the font style - that was out of my hands - but I'm sorry it was tricky to read :o)

I have to admit I'm mostly filled with pastry, but Ma leaves for South Africa today so hopefully I won't have any further excuses to sit around and feed myself.

Happy writing.

Thank you Debs and Susan :o) I think I've just about reined in the eating now!
